A delegation from Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University(JOSTUM) on 19 February 2026 paid a courtesy visit to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, to explore avenues for strategic collaboration in executive education and leadership development.
Discussions centered on co-hosting Executive Training and Leadership Programmes at NIPSS, launching a Training-of-Trainers initiative for academic and professional staff, engaging NIPSS experts as facilitators in IPESS programmes, and undertaking joint industrial, policy-oriented study visits, research, and policy dialogue platforms.
Speaking during the visit, the JOSTUM delegation emphasized the need for stronger institutional partnerships to enhance Nigeria’s executive education ecosystem through shared faculty, resource optimization, and increased national impact.
Responding, the Director-General of NIPSS, Professor Ayo Omotayo, represented by the Acting Director of Research, Professor Musa Umar mni, commended the initiative and reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to strategic alliances that promote leadership excellence and evidence-based policymaking.
Both institutions expressed optimism that the engagement would lead to the signing of a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), ensuring strengthened collaboration, greater visibility, and long-term institutional sustainability.
