The Department serves as the Secretariat of the Tenders Board and the Head of the Procurement Department serving as the Secretary for the Board. The Department ensures that sound public procurement policies and practices are followed in procuring goods, works and non-consultant services. The Department also ensures that sound policies and practices are entrenched to maintain ethical standards ,it prepares , short and medium prospective plan to monitor and evaluate the activities and progrmmes of various Department and Units as well as undertaking data bank management. It is also responsible for coordinating the National Institute's needs assessment, advertise for works, goods and services, bids evaluation, monitoring and evaluation of projects/programmes, prospective plans and contract awards. It gives periodic reports on projects and procurement. The Department is head by Mrs. Garos Reng. It has two Units:

· Planning, Research & Statistics, Documentation and records.
