The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, has commenced three specialised four-day executive courses aimed at strengthening leadership capacity, enhancing institutional effectiveness, promoting technology integration, and advancing sustainable development across critical sectors of the Nigerian economy.
One of the programmes is the NIPSS–PBDC Leadership Course in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics for Health Sector Management, organised for the management and staff of the Primary Health Care Delivery Board. The course focuses on equipping participants with practical skills in the application of artificial intelligence and data analytics to improve primary healthcare planning, service delivery, monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making. It is designed to leverage technology to enhance efficiency, accountability, and health outcomes. The programme is delivered in partnership with Peace Building Development Consult (PBDC), Abuja, drawing on resource persons from within NIPSS and other relevant institutions.
Also underway is another specialised executive programme implemented in collaboration with Conference for Africa Studies Limited (CFA), further reinforcing NIPSS’s commitment to multi-stakeholder partnerships in capacity development.
In addition, NIPSS has commenced the Strategic Leadership, Communication and Sustainable Development Course (Second Edition), which brings together senior professionals from diverse institutions. The programme is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of effective leadership models, strategic communication frameworks, and sustainability-oriented governance, while strengthening their capacity to drive institutional reforms, manage stakeholders effectively, and align policies with sustainable development priorities.
Together, the three courses reflect NIPSS’s strategic mandate to prepare senior leaders and decision-makers to respond effectively to contemporary governance, technology, and development challenges in Nigeria.
