
As part of sustained efforts to strengthen leadership capacity and enhance institutional performance across key sectors of national development, the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, on Monday, 9 February 2026, commenced three Strategic Leadership courses at its Kuru campus.
The five-day training programmes, organised in collaboration with Conference for African Studies Limited, are designed to sharpen strategic thinking, promote accountability, and equip participants with practical skills to address Nigeria’s evolving governance and development challenges.
Among the courses is the Strategic Leadership Course in Project Management, which focuses on improving the planning, execution, and delivery of public-sector projects to ensure efficiency, value for money, and timely completion. Also underway is the Strategic Leadership Course on Financial Leadership and Accountability for Bursars, designed to strengthen financial governance, transparency, and the prudent management of public resources acrossgovernment institutions. The third programme, the Transformational Leadership Course for Driving Performance, Productivity, and Professionalism (PPP), places emphasis on ethical leadership, organisational culture, and performance management as drivers of improved productivity and service delivery in the public sector.
The training programmes reflect NIPSS’s continued commitment to building strategic leadership capacity, fostering innovative thinking, and encouraging collaboration among senior leaders and professionals in support of Nigeria’s national development objectives.
