
The Strategy Course for Command Responsibility, Cyber Security and Intelligence Management Course SCCR14 Concludes at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS kuru.
The Directorate of Studies at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS, Kuru has successfully concluded its Strategy Course for Command Responsibility, Cyber Security and Intelligence Management (SCCR 14). The course forms part of the Institute’s commitment to expose participants to key and critical aspects of command responsibility, cyber security and intelligence management within the context of effective National security architecture.
The training brought together participants from top cadre of the military, paramilitary, intelligence agencies as well as the private sector.
During the training, participants engaged in intensive lectures, presentations, assignments and other practical exercises focused on critical national security issues, including banditry and kidnapping in Kwara State, internal security within the Federal Capital Territory, and security management on the Plateau. The course was structured into three modules namely, Command Responsibility, Cyber Security and Intelligence Management. Each session enabled participants the opportunity to brainstorm and share ideas on how intelligence can be deployed to promote National peace and stability.
The course was delivered by the Institute’s seasoned faculty members and other distinguished external experts with experience and practical knowledge in the subject matter.
During the closing ceremony, the Directing Staff Short Courses, Brigadier General A.A Idris commended the participants for their commitment and active participation throughout the programme. He registered his hopes to see the outcome of the training translated into active policies that will guide the various security architectures in the country.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Director of Studies, Barrister Nima Salman Mann mni, who represented the Director General, congratulated the graduands and emphasized the importance of applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the programme in their respective fields. She urged them to make the most of the experience to foster peaceful coexistence and national stability. The DOS equally commended members of staff present, particularly the Course Coordinators, for a job well done in ensuring the success of the programme. She thereafter, presented certificates of attendance to the graduands, and formally declared the course closed.
The SCCR 14 course bears the Institute’s mandate to ensure proper knowledge for keeping up with the evolving global security management and enforcement dynamics.
