NIPSS PARTICIPANTS EMBARK ON TOUR OF STRATEGIC INSTITUTIONS

Participants of the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 48 at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, have commenced a study tour of selected strategic institutions as part of their programm.

The tour, scheduled to run from Monday, 30 March to Wednesday, 1 April 2026, is designed to expose participants to the operations, policies, and institutional frameworks of key government agencies and organisations critical to national development.

The participants have been divided into study groups, each assigned to visit specific institutions. These include the Ministry of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Bank of Industry (BOI), and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), among others.

Other institutions on the itinerary are the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Federal Ministry of Finance, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

Participants will also engage with organisations within the creative and tourism sectors, including the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, National Gallery of Arts, Nigeria Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC), and the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy.

The study tour is a core component of the NIPSS curriculum, aimed at bridging theory and practice by enabling participants to interact directly with policymakers and institutional leaders, while gaining practical insights to inform strategic policy recommendations at the end of the course.
