The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) has reinforced its commitment to intellectual engagement and capacity development by providing a structured platform for Youth Corps Members, serving at the Institute, to present research-driven ideas and policy-relevant insights. The initiative, coordinated by the Directorate of Research, reflects the Institute’s broader mandate of fostering critical thinking, evidence-based analysis, and the inclusion of emerging voices in national development discourse.
At the session held on Thursday, 26 March 2026, four research papers were presented, each addressing critical dimensions of Nigeria’s development landscape. The presentations interrogated pressing national issues, offering practical recommendations grounded in empirical observation and analytical reasoning. The diversity of topics underscored the multidisciplinary orientation of NIPSS and its emphasis on holistic approaches to policy formulation.
Participants and discussants engaged rigorously with the presentations, providing constructive feedback and situating the findings within broader national priorities. The interactive nature of the session not only enriched the quality of discourse but also sharpened the analytical capacities of the presenting corps members.
The initiative further demonstrates NIPSS’s strategic role as a hub for policy innovation and leadership development, where young professionals are mentored to contribute meaningfully to governance and national transformation. By integrating corps members into its intellectual ecosystem, the Institute continues to bridge the gap between academic inquiry and practical policy application, while cultivating a new generation of thinkers equipped to address Nigeria’s complex development challenges.
